What’s the ideal bedtime for quality sleep?

Honestly, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all bedtime, but there are some simple ways to figure out what works for you. I’ve noticed that the most refreshing sleep comes when you go to bed around the same time every night — yes, even on weekends. Your body really does love routine!

Most adults start feeling naturally sleepy between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM, so trying to be in bed during that window usually works well. A good trick is to count backward from when you need to wake up — aiming for 7–9 hours of sleep. For example, if you have to be up at 6:30 AM, going to bed around 10:30–11:00 PM is ideal.

Also, don’t forget the little things that make falling asleep easier: dimming the lights, putting your phone away, maybe reading a few pages of a book or doing some deep breathing. Those small habits can help you drift off faster and sleep more deeply.
